Dimemond Mentality was interested helping to push Ola Malomo's name for many reasons. One reason that particularly sticks out to why more people need to know this young dude's name is that he simply bound to become a great leader in the Vancouver area.
As a busy SFU student, Ola's schedule is always up and down, but somehow he has managed to take the intiative to create a movement that is rather silent right now in the student community. He has created the Go Podcast, which is mainly featured and apart of his blog. Why is it called "the Go Podcast"? Simple. The Go Podcast is shortened for The Go Getters, Million Dollar Lessons.
He created his blog to have the ability to share his ideas and thoughts about many different topics. However, he decided to bring some more flare and interactivity within his blog, by creating a podcast. As a student, he has the urge to always be learning new, valuable lessons, and ideas, and also to be able to answer questions, he may have. He features driven individuals, who have their own goals, a brand or is simply a leader of a particular topic. The features are passionate individuals, who come and sit down with Ola, to share their thoughts, have a meaningful, honest discussions. Dimemond Mentality truly believes that this idea takes courage, and committment from a truly passionate, driven individual such as Ola, as there isn't a true podcast platform that can share voices. Ola is on the right path!
What does Dimemond Mentality mean to you? Do you think it'll be successful?
"Dimemond Mentality to me represents passion and care to put out with good visuals. It's good to know that someone wants to know the stories of people and to able to put that out in a beautiful way is the icing on the cake. I think with the right strategy behind it, it can definitely be successful; it's unique."
What do you enjoy about Vancouver?
"I like the fact that at times its mellow. I have been fortunate enought to go to other places in the world, the hustle and bustle of those places is good, but at times you just want an easy going [environment], and that's where Vancouver is absolutely on point."
How has Vancouver motivated you to become an individual who is interested in furthering to help promote others and creating awareness?
"I think Vancouver has a start up culture right now. I saw a couple of people I know, trying out different things and I was like, 'I can help them promote'".
What's some of the greatest lessons you've been able to learn from the individuals you've sat down with so far?
"Damn, I like that question. I think the greatest lessons I have learned is that people are challenging themselves. Everybody I have brought on has something going for them, which means people are challenging themselves."
Do you have any role models you look up to?
"Role models I think are strong words, but I definitely have people I admire, like Charlamagne the God. I like his honesty and courage. I [also] like Diddy as well, I like his balance in his life and he's wealthy."
If you could choose any career, (outside of your academia), what would it be?
"I used to want to be a soccer player, but now I'm notlonger interested. [I am interested] in solving tangible problems for lots of people, and getting paid for it."
